Hi, I’m Rob Black, a 24 y/o electrician from Spalding, Lincolnshire.
Drifting for me came about when I went to watch my first event around 2011 time. The excitement of the competition and smell of rubber got me hooked. When I was 17 I bought my first drift car and attended as many Norfolk Drift days as I could. Over the few years i've been into drifting I’ve been to nearly every BDC round and spotting for my brother-in-law Paul Smith.
A few years ago I got the opportunity to buy Paul’s Nissan S15 and make it my own. This Pro Championship winning car was a perfect way to push me into competition drifting. The car is running a forged 1.5JZ engine currently making around 450 horsepower.
I’m super proud to have finished 2nd in non-seeded DriftCup Championship 2019.
I’m really pumped to working with MODSTOP and seeing where the 2020 season takes us! 💨
